| Stress is a necessary component of life and survival. Stress urges your body to produce so called "hormones of stress", adrenalin and cortisol, that raise your blood pressure, impede digestion, giving you a rush of energy necessary for immediate action, whether it's physical or mental, like running to escape a predator or making an instant mental decision. However, gradual stress hormones' buildup in our bodies can have a very negative effect on our health by weakening our immune response and making them susceptible to a large myriad of diseases. If we face stress daily, our bodies can no longer return themselves to the initial state of relaxation resulting in depression, sleep disorders, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, anxiety disorders and even cancer.
