Homeopathy can cure Swine flu – experts agree

Various vaccines and drugs have been introduced to fight against swine flu, but most of them have had very limited success. However, homoeopathy doctors say that alternative medicine can help not only prevent swine flu, but even cure it, and all that without side-effects. The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) recommends homeopathic for swine flu prevention. Experts suggest that a homeopathic substance called arsenicum album may be taken as a preventive measure against flu-like illnesses, and even swine flu.

The homeopathy doctors recommend taking Arsenicum Album 30 on an empty stomach – 2 tablets for children and 4 tablets for adults every day – for three days as a preventative measure against flu-like illnesses. This should be done again one month later, especially when flu-like symptoms are prevalent in the area. A practising homoeopath, Dr Rajesh Patel, claims that homeopathy can prevent, as well as cure H1N1 easily. He went on to say that since homeopathic medicines have no side-effects, they can be given to people who are considered to be in the high risk category, such as pregnant women, infants, and the elderly. Dr. Padma Govindan, another homoeopath, agrees and adds that homeopathic medicines boost the body’s immune system instead of targeting the causative organisms directly. She also claims that over the past few weeks she has successfully treated numerous patients with flu-like symptoms.

In previous years, flu epidemics such as the bird flu and the Spanish flu were treated successfully by homeopathic medicines like bryonia, gelsemium, oscillococcinum, and influenzinum, according to some homoeopaths.

There are various stats to back this up. During the Spanish flu epidemic in 1919 it was recorded that in Ohio 24,000 flu cases were treated allopathically (by conventional means), and the mortality rate was 28.2 percent, whereas for 26,000 flu cases treated homeopathically, the mortality rate was only 1.05 percent. In Connecticut there were 6,602 cases of flu reported, with only 55 resulting in death, which is less than 1 percent, and all of these cases received homeopathic treatment. A physician on a World War I troop ship, Dr. Roberts, reported 81 flu cases on the way to Europe. He said that all of them recovered and were landed safely. Each and every one of those men received homeopathic treatment.

Homeopathy clearly had a lot of success with treatment and prevention during the flu epidemic of 1918, and it can definitely provide answers to many questions about the 2009 Swine Flu. It can also provide inexpensive and fast relief for flu symptoms. Homeopathy usually uses mineral, plant, and animal sources to treat natural flu remedies, because it is a system of medicine that is based on the principle that “like cures like”. Homeopathy stems from ancient ideas dating as far back as Egyptian medicine. “Homeopathy” was a term coined by Samuel Hahnemann, who was a medical reformer and a medical doctor back in the 1800s. Therefore, it is clear that homeopathic medicines have already been used to treat symptoms of the flu for over two centuries.

With swine flu still firmly in the national consciousness, these homeopathic medicines need to be researched into further, however pharmaceutical companies will do everything in their power to discredit this ‘alternative’ method of prevention and treatment.

The article gives solid facts about how homeopathy outdid conventional means in the treatment of flu in certain cases. What does anyone think about that? How would anti-homeopathy doctors respond?
