1. Drink peppermint tea

2. Pomegranates

Natural and home gastroenteritis remedies include the use of pomegranates. Pomegranate juice can be consumed to help control diarrhea. Severe diarrhea and chronic diarrhea can cause dehydration and pomegranate juice can be taken to eliminate various symptoms associated with chronic gastroenteritis.

3. Bananas

This is the most common of gastroenteritis remedies. Mashed bananas are excellent diarrhea cures in adults and children. Simply take a ripe banana and mash it, then add a teaspoon of tamarind pulp and a splash of salt and consume the mixture approximately two times per day. This concoction will help control the symptoms of gastroenteritis including diarrhea. Bananas are also rich in vitamins and provide added nutrition when losing vitamins and nutrients during severe diarrhea bouts.

4. Drink a lot of water

Replenishing your body with electrolytes is essential when suffering from chronic gastroenteritis and dehydration. Add a pinch of salt to your water and even a squirt of lemon to eliminate dehydration from occurring.
