When it comes to skin cancer, not that many people know the signs of skin cancer and they certainly do not know any skin cancer remedies. There are many different visual signs of skin cancer that we are going to discuss in this article! Many people think that a simple bump, blister or boil is going to be skin cancer, but actually, the visual signs of skin cancer are a little bit different.
Skin cancer is not just something that can be blamed on being outside too much, although that is one of the leading factors to getting this terrible cancer, if you burn easily, have freckles, are fair in your skin tone or have naturally blonde or red hair, you could end up with skin cancer! That is one of the main reasons why you need to make sure that you know the signs of skin cancer, that way you can spot it and get it treated before it spreads.
#1: One of the first visual signs of skin cancer that you will see are small lumps that could be construed as a mole, except this lump would be shiny, waxy, smooth in texture and pale in color. Also, if you happen to see a red lump that is going to be firm, you may want to get it checked out.
#2: Always be on the lookout for sore spots that bleed or become crusty and do not heal. This is another visual sign of skin cancer that you should be watching for. Just keep in mind, if a sore spot does not heal, consulting your doctor should be one of the first things that you do.
#3: Many times, people think that rough and scaly patches of skin are simply dry skin; this is especially true in the winter when most people are prone to getting rough and scaly skin. If you are noticing a lot of rough and scaly spots of flesh, it could be a sign of skin cancer.
#4: Like sign number three, you always need to be on the look out for scaly and rough patches of skin, but if you are finding flat, scaly brown or red skin? There is a definite sign of skin cancer.
#5: One thing that many people do not realize can be a sign of skin cancer is any new skin growth. If you are finding a lot of new skin growth appearing, it could be a sign that you have skin cancer.
While there are many different skin cancer remedies it never hurts to get checked out, especially if you are experiencing any of these signs. While many people believe that skin cancer is mostly gotten from lying out in the sun too long, there are many different things that can contribute to a person getting skin cancer. For example, people with lighter colored eyes such as greens or blues are more likely to get skin cancer than someone with brown or hazel eyes.

This is very insightful information, thanks! It's a bit worrisome as well, as I have green eyes and blonde hair, and do tend to burn easily. So, that makes me more prone, but can you explain why? Is it something about those genes that make more likely to get skin cancer?January 24th, 2011 at 10:37 pm
