Alcoholism and Heart Disease

You may have heard that drinking alcohol could reduce your risk of heart disease. Drinking too much can have the opposite effect
Moderate drinking can increase levels of HDL cholesterol. There are other ways to increase “good” cholesterol levels
Consuming three to four servings can increase blood pressure which are risk factors for heart disease. This amount of consumption can also make you gain weight because of all the calories

Do some factors make you more prone to developing alcohoslism? I know heredity is one of them, but what are some other factors that can make you want to drink more than others?
