My husband had an appendectomy last year for what was thought normal acute appendicitis. The doctor called a couple of weeks after surgery and told us that the appendix actually had a malignant tumor on it and we shouldn't worry being as they took out the appendix altogether and that the tumor hadn't started spreading. Should I still be concerned? Hubby is a smoker, has sleep apnea, is on coumadin for having an episode of multiple pulmonary embolism, just a slew of problems at his young age of nearing 37yrs old.
