Cayenne pepper really is a great spice for healing inside and out. My mother has severe arthritis in both her knees and I made her sachets for the shower that contained cayenne and other helpful spices. She used them and they really helped. Of course, she's had both knees replaces since then, but they did work.

Dear Karen,

Although it is great to hear that Gregg has had such amazing results, I would caution not to rely solely on cayenne when dealing with such a severe and complex condition as cancer. That being said, cayenne is a very efficient de-toxifier. It is also excellent for improving circulation. These 2 actions are why cayenne can be helpful for circles under the eyes. You can use it internally for this. Many people apply cayenne topically also, however as this is near your eyes, please be very careful if you decide to do this. Use it sparingly. You may also consider something as simple as Witch Hazel applications under the eyes as this is a natural astringent.

In Good Health,

Meredith

I have been doing research on the benefits of cayenne pepper all day and I'm convinced I have to try it. Do I just go to the supermarket and buy actual cayenne pepper from the spice aisle?? Or is this something I should get at a GNC-type store??

Cayenne Pepper, turmeric powder also knows as curcumin, cloves, cumin, cinnamon, garlic, ginger, onions are all very good for health.

Turmeric (also known as curcumin) is a flowering perennial plant, a member of the ginger family widely used for food coloring and is one of the major ingredients in curry powder In the tropical regions of southern Asia, it grows from 3 to 5 feet and blossoms trumpet-shaped, yellow flowers. Turmeric is thought to be useful in both external and internal applications. The yellow powder that is often used in food preparation comes from the roots of turmeric, which are dried and boiled.
Turmeric has been widely used for centuries as a condiment, healing remedy
It is considered to be an anti-inflammatory, also treats liver problems, digestive disorders, skin disorders, wounds, stomach problems from gastritis caused by stress or alcohol
It’s also proven that the turmeric breaks down the saturated fats in cholesterol, lowering cholesterol levels. like other substances in the turmeric, have antioxidant properties that are thought to be as strong as vitamins C and E.
The antioxidants in turmeric protect the kidneys, liver, brain and lungs from the damage caused by drugs, radiation, alcohol, heavy metals like lead, or other chemicals like dry cleaning fluid.
Today, turmeric (under the name Avea) is becoming popular as a treatment for depression.
Curcumin is one of the active ingredients in turmeric. According to multiple medical studies, it helps empty the gallbladder and stimulate the production of bile.
Curcumin is also thought to have the ability to reduce inflammation, fight certain infections and to demonstrate a protective effect on the liver.
The anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin have been known to be comparable to such potent drugs as hydrocortisone and phenylbutazone as well as anti-inflammatory agents such as Motrin.

Very nice blog/website with great info.
I'm 53 years young,very active and I'm a big guy at 6ft. 6 ins. and 250 lbs.
As an athlete all my life playing sports like hockey for 40 years ,basketball for 17 years, ball hockey (I know I'm Canadian eh so lots of hockey stuff), for 20 years.football for 10 years,15 years of tennis......those are sports that grind us down.
My point of telling that is only the last 5-10 years have I found how incredibly well foods like cayenne pepper, curcumin, ginger, and good oils all of which I supplement with daily for 2 years now actually are anti inflammatory big time.
I spent years buying different combinations of products that were over priced and did not work.
Only when I stared on these natural foods that I had total relief.
I've refused to get pharmaceuticals a try since I give little stock in that.

I've had this cold now for about 2 months and cannot shake it. For about the last 1-1/2 weeks i have been non stop 24/7 coughing, so bad i've almost lost my voice. A freind told me about cayenne pepper and that i should give it a try. So i went to the health food store and bought just a little bit (1/4 lb) just to try it. For my first time trying it, i was told to do about a 1/4 t spoon mixed with a little water to fill t spoon. As soon as i did it i felt it working immediately, i did this 2 more times throughout the day and by evening time my cough was about 90% gone. Today (day 2) i increased the dose to about 1/2 t spoon and i allready fill 100% better in just 2 days. Whats more exciting about this is i've done some reading about all the benefits of cayenne pepper, it's unbelievable what this pepper can do. I am definatly spreading the word to family and freinds, i think everyone should know about these benefits of life.
