Thank you for stating that e. coli is not always a bad thing. Many people automatically hear e. coli and think that there is some epidemic going on when what is being mentioned is actually the natural strain that resides in the human body. I don't think a lot of people understand that there are numerous strains.

Actually i jus wanted to know how this E.coli enters our body.There is a considerable amount of E.coli even in an new born child.i would like to know about it.i would be happier if anyone replys me if he/she knows aboutt it.

you don't hear that much about E. coli in the drinking water, because in the U.S. there is chlorine in the water systems which won't allow E. coli to survive.
