Is diabetes reversible?

The American Diabetes Association estimates that around 20 million Americans are afflicted with the onset of type-2 diabetes and well over fifty seven million are in the pre diabetes stage. It is known that type-2 diabetes is based on lifestyle choices: lack of exercise, obesity and the consumption of unhealthy foods. There have been scientific studies that show the type-2 diabetes is reversible.

There are many new health organizations that have been started to assist in the reversal process of diabetes. Most of the programs are geared to use lifestyle changes, diet and herbs to bring your pancreas, liver and adrenal glands back into balance.

Diabetes is a very serious disease.     So, what else can be done to reverse diabetes 2 besides dietary changes? I've just been diagnosed with diabetes 2, and I want to try and stop it before it gets any worse. Please, any advice would be helpful.
