How to Increase Estrogen Hormone Levels – Updated Article With Extra Information On Low Estrogen Levels.

A good balance of hormones is very important for both women and men. An imbalance of these hormone levels can take a great toll on you. Estrogen is an important female sex hormone. If this hormone decreases or for that matter increases abnormally, it can create a lot of difficulties for women. Females with low estrogen levels can not only have problems with their menstrual cycle but can also suffer from an early menopause, mood swings, hair loss, fatigue, depression, low blood pressure, bone loss and an increase in allergies. In short, a balanced estrogen level is a key component of a woman’s health.

Fortunately, estrogen can be found in a lot of foods which we consume in our daily life. Here are some of the foods that are pretty rich in estrogen:

Vegetables: Vegetables are the most common of estrogen. Women who have low estrogen hormones should increase their intake of the following vegetables: peas, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, rhubarb and celery.

Fruits: Apples, cherries, dates, plums, pomegranates and papaya are a very good source of estrogen and women in particular should include them in their diet on a regular basis.

Beans: A large variety of beans also contain these female sex hormones. Therefore, they should also be consumed in order to increase fertility in women as estrogen helps in boosting this natural process. This large variety of beans include soybeans, red beans, navy beans, lima beans, chick peas, cow peas or black-eyed peas.

Seeds: A healthy and complete diet should include flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and alfalfa too as they also contain estrogen.

Herbs And Species: As mentioned earlier, luckily estrogen can be found in many foods that we consume on a daily basis. It is also found in some herbs and species which make its consumption easier as they are added in a lot of dishes for flavor. Some of the herbs and species which are rich in estrogen are garlic, oregano, parsley, sage and clover.

Grains: Grains in general are very good for your health. Women with low estrogen levels should include grains such as barley, oats, wheat, rice and hops into the diet.

Vitamin E Enrich Oils: Research shows that olive oil, fish oil and cod liver oil are also a great source to increase or balance estrogen levels.

Balanced hormones are the way to a healthy and happy life, especially in women as they undergo a lot of hormonal changes. Therefore, it’s very important to keep a check on the hormonal imbalances in the body. Increasing the level of the estrogen hormone in your body naturally by including the above food sources in your diet is the most preferable way because it has no side effects.

I don't understand why some women would have lower levels of estrogen while others have higher levels. Does anyone know what factors this depends on? Is it because they are eating the above-mentioned foods every day or do other factors play a role?
